Remember Ram Charan Teja's proposed film Merupu, which was shelved after its original director Dharani walked out of the project last year due to creative differences with the makers?

The project was later handed over to ace director V.V. Vinayak, whose latest release is Allu Arjun starrer Badrinath. According to sources, the director is now ready to commence Merupu, produced under the banner of Super Good Movies.  Reportedly, the director made some minor changes to reduce the budget. (One of the reasons why Merupu was shelved was its huge budget. Dharani quoted a high budget for Merupu, but Chiranjeevi did not accept, saying "Either reduce the budget or drop the project." Chiranjeevi said this since Ram Charan Teja's Orange turned out to be a debacle.) More details are awaited.
